Neutral Grounding / Earthing Resistors 

Neutral Grounding Resistors are connected between the neutral & the earth so that it will limit the earth fault current to a safe value [Normally full load current of the generator, transformer, etc. thereby protecting the transformer, generator system].

Specifications: 

• Resistance : - Resistors up to 72 KV

• Time Duration :- 10 sec, 30 sec (As per IS-3043), 60 sec & 5 -10% continuous rating if required.

• Material : - Stainless Steel, FeCrAl, Cast Iron, Copper Nickel or Nichrome.

• Temperature Rise :- 375 Degree Centigrade / 760 Degree Centigrade or as required by the customer.

Highlights: 

• Resistance value is pre-determined to operate fault-clearing relays and to prevent damages.

• The system is designed as per current and time ratings and compatible with the protection switchgear.

• Mica / ceramic / Porcelain insulators are used.

• The resistor enclosure is provided as per relevant standards as required by the customer.

• All NGRs / NERs are designed and tested as per IEEE32.
